Thrift Store (HATS)

The Thrift Shop now located at 138 Craig Street has been operating for fifteen years, selling sorted, clean and quality second-hand goods at reasonable prices.  In addition to the usual items such as clothing, shoes, bedding, kitchenware and small appliances, we carry a good selection of collectables, jewelry, artwork, books, knitting supplies, crafts, tools, toys, puzzles and seasonal items.  We do not sell large items or used furniture.  

Volunteer shifts are 3 hours long, from 10 to 1 or 1 to 4. We need people to work as cashiers, assistant cashiers and sales representatives in the store. In the kitchen we need people to receive goods, sort them and wash them.  And downstairs, we need folks to sort the clothes and linen and launder and iron them, and finally to tag and price them.  

Whatever your skill set or interest, there’s probably a job that will suit you in this team of dedicated and fun-loving volunteers.
